This is How We Roll: Rolling out the Red Carpet to Welcome Visitors with Disabilities Affecting Mobility

It’s time to roll out the red carpet and bring full access to visitors who utilize wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, strollers and other assistive devices. This starts even before visitors arrive and extends to all aspects of time spent interacting with staff at your cultural institution, from the box office to the front office, and everything in between.

This workshop will provide an interactive conversation with panelists that include cultural administrators with expertise in providing services and creating welcoming spaces and people with disabilities who will share their experiences as visitors.

Thanks to Equip for Equality and the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities for making this program possible.
