Illinois Cultural Accessibility Network
We believe arts and culture are for everyone, and our communities are stronger when everyone is welcomed and included.
Illinois Cultural Accessibility Network (ICAN) is a state-wide volunteer network connecting arts and cultural organizations to become more accessible to people with disabilities and older adults.
We represent theaters, museums, orchestras, park centers, zoos, and other cultural organizations across the state of Illinois. ICAN shares resources, information and support to ensure more accessible and inclusive experiences for guests, collaborators, and employees with disabilities.
To learn more about ICAN or get involved, please contact: [email protected].
ICAN is an initiative of CCAC. This program is partially supported through a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency, a state agency.
Accessibility Compliance is a big key when applying for grants in the arts and culture sector, but this work goes beyond just the ticking of boxes. What are some of the tools and resources organizations can reference when working through ADA Checklists for grant funding? Join us for some expert guidance aimed at setting your organization up for success with approaching materials commonly asked for and referenced in grant applications, and to allow inroads to start gathering the tools and resources needed to create sustainable internal practices.
